Cobb County residents will be asked in November 2020 to renew the county’s Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax (SPLOST) for another six years. If approved, Smyrna’s portion of the SPLOST revenue will go toward various projects across the City.
Representatives from Cobb’s six cities joined together for a virtual town hall on June 18 to discuss their lists and budgets should projects be funded with SPLOST proceeds. Mayor Derek Norton joined the virtual meeting to discuss Smyrna’s list and you can view/listen to that presentation on the Cobb County Government YouTube channel (link below).
